Sree Vivekananda College is a Govt. Aided Higher Education Institution under Cochin Devaswom Board Management and academically affiliated to the University of Calicut. Established in 1981, the college has been shaping generations with quality higher education for over four decades. Our campus is geographically located at Kizhoor village, approximately 3 kilometres from the urban centre of Kunnamkulam, Thrissur District, Keralam. The genesis of the college can be traced back to the decision of the Cochin Devaswom Board, on 03.06.1980 with Sri. N. Ramankutty Achan as President, Sri. A. S. Chakrapani and Sri. T. K. Krishnan as members, to start a regular Arts and Science College at Kizhoor. Subsequently, a college formation committee, comprising distinguished citizens from diverse fields was constituted with Sri. K.P. Viswanathan MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) as Chairman and Sri. V.A. Raghavan (Municipal Chairman) as Secretary, to operationalize the initiative. The Government of Keralam accorded sanction on 27.06.1981, for starting the College  at Kizhoor hill, owned and managed by the Cochin Devaswom Board and was formally named as, “SREE VIVEKANANDA COLLEGE”.
